We encourage the use of links in all posts and comments, it makes this a viable site for real discussion. However in the reality that is the Internet we have to have some safeguards in place for linking and the use of nofollow.

Comments

1. All first time commenters must first be approved by an editor before the comment will show.
2. The maximum number of links in a comment without approval by an editor is five, a comment with greater than five links will be held for a manual review.
3. All comment links and signature links will initially be nofollow. If after a week the comment has not been removed by an editor all links will then be set to regular status.
4. Inappropriate links and comments may be edited or deleted by an editor.

Posts

The vast majority of links in the posts are standard links however in the rare case when an inappropriate neighborhood must be referenced for the sake of the post those links will be nofollowed by the editors.

As a small token of recognition to the editors of this blog the sitewide links to the editors sites are regular links carrying the tremendous weight that is a link from this blog!
